You won’t want to miss this important presentation on where we stand in the Tampa Bay area on the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). This initiative focuses on building equality accountability on the local level for pushing this legislative platform through here in the US.
Presented by Noelle Clark of the Suncoast Rape Crisis Center, she is the Co-Chair of the Pinellas County Sexual Assault Response Team and the United Nations Association Tampa Bay Chapter Advocacy Director. As an attorney with a concentration in Gender and the Law, she is also certified in pro bono legal services, and has been working towards the eradication of violence and inequality against under represented populations for eleven years.
Ms. Clark will also give us an update on what Suncoast has done and is doing to continue the fight for women’s rights in all areas of life, starting with counseling and recovery services for those affected by all forms of discrimination.
