08 Jul 7/12/14 – Help build powerful women.
MEMBERS ONLY: Join Sheila Barry-Oliver, Chair of the Individual Development (ID) and Young Careerist (YC) committees, for the next planning meeting of these two signature programs on Saturday, July 12, from 9-11 a.m. at the offices of Janssen & Igar, 1626 38th Ave N., St. Petersburg.
The ID Program, begun in the late 1960s, was developed to provide BPW officers and future leaders with public speaking and presentation skills. Over time it evolved into a flexible program addressing public speaking, communication skills, interviewing, networking and job performance skills, with the ability to adapt its content to meet the needs of participants.
The Young Careerist Program was created under the leadership of BPW/USA President Virginia Allan to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of young working women (originally under the age of 30, now 35 and now expanded to men).
PLEASE NOTE: Committee meetings are intended for members of BPW/St. Petersburg-Pinellas.
