25 Aug 8/21/14 General Meeting – Councilwoman Darden Rice on Greenlight Pinellas
Darden Rice chairs the Legislative Committee of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) Board and serves on the Legislative Subcommittee of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. Elected to the St. Petersburg City Council in 2014, Darden has more than a decade of experience in working for national, state and local organizations in communications and issue-based advocacy campaigns for the public interest. Those issues include promoting access to affordable, quality healthcare; taking the bias out of medicine; defending voting rights by fighting unfair voter suppression laws; protecting clean water; and promoting clean energy.
