16 Sep A Visit from St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway
On September 7th we hosted the distinguished St. Petersburg Chief of Police, Anthony Holloway, at BPW/St. Petersburg-Pinellas.
Appointed as Chief of Police for the St. Petersburg Police Department in August 2014, Chief Holloway’s leadership has brought about significant positive changes. His visionary approach to policing, coupled with his relentless pursuit of knowledge, has garnered him a reputation as a true trailblazer in the field. Chief Holloway’s academic pursuits speak volumes about his dedication to excellence. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management earned in 1999, followed by a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2001, he has continuously sought to enhance his expertise. His pursuit of educational growth includes graduating from the Executive Strategic Management course at the Police Executive Research Forum and the Senior Management Institute for Police at Boston University. Additionally, he was recognized by Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government for completing the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program. His thirst for knowledge also led him to complete the Executive Leaders Program at the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
Chief Holloway’s influence extends far beyond his department’s precincts. He has been a dedicated educator, imparting law enforcement wisdom to national and international governmental, military, educational, and community institutions. Holding prominent positions such as Chair of the Florida Police Chiefs Association Subcommittee on Accountability and Societal Change, Co-Chair of the Law Enforcement Committee on Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association, and Co-Chair of the Governance Board of the Executive Committee of Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LInX), he has championed accountability and collaboration.
His commitment to community welfare is further evidenced by his involvement with Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services and the Board of Trustees of St. Anthony’s Hospital. Chief Holloway’s accolades include being named a Distinguished Fellow at the Joint Special Operations University, an honor bestowed upon him for his contributions to national security and special operations.
On September 7th, Chief Holloway will give us insights into a recent grant awarded to the St. Petersburg Police Department, earmarked for the empowerment of an underserved segment of our community – girls. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to engage with a leader who has truly embodied the spirit of service, innovation, and community upliftment. We look forward to welcoming Chief Anthony Holloway and hearing about his impactful initiatives that are shaping the future of law enforcement and fostering positive change in our community.
