25 Nov Innovating St. Pete with Lauren Bell
Our speaker for November was Lauren Bell, Chief Operating Officer for the St. Pete Innovation District. The St. Pete Innovation District (SPID), established as a public-private partnership in 2016, now has membership exceeding 50 organizations within the Life Science, Marine Science, and Technology sectors, as well as those focused on Entrepreneurship and Education. Many of these institutions are within a designated boundary of the District, while others engage from throughout the region and nation. Lauren served as the Community Manager of the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub. She oversaw the flourishing and vibrant shared workspace, bringing to life the growing community of private industry, government, and academic partners. Lauren also led the Innovation District’s internship and youth outreach activities.
