Women care for others in many different ways. As mothers, they care for their children. As “caregivers”, they care for family members or acquaintances who have physical, psychological or development needs. Women spend as much as 50% more time on parenting and caregiving than men. Working women have even greater challenges due to lost wages from reduced work hours, time out of the work force, family leave or early retirement. Our multi-generational caregiving roundtable will consider the challenges unique to working women.
Come share your stories and words of wisdom or come to learn from the experiences of others. It’s potluck refreshments, so bring some food and drink to share. No reservations are necessary.
