The Importance of Primary Elections with Zachariah Wade

The Business and Professional Women of St. Petersburg-Pinellas welcomed attorney Zachariah Wade for an informative and engaging luncheon focused on the importance of participating in Florida’s primary elections.

Zachariah shared valuable insight into why primary elections matter, emphasizing that although they traditionally experience lower voter turnout, they often determine judicial races, school board seats, and other important nonpartisan offices that have a direct impact on our communities. His presentation highlighted the importance of civic engagement and encouraged attendees to become informed voters and active participants in the democratic process.

A native Floridian, Zachariah drew on his extensive legal experience to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of Florida’s election process. A graduate of Florida A&M University and Stetson University College of Law, he previously served as an Assistant State Attorney for Pinellas County, prosecuting thousands of cases ranging from DUI and drug offenses to homicide. Today, he is the owner of a successful law practice representing clients in both criminal and civil matters.

Beyond the courtroom, Zachariah is deeply committed to serving the community through organizations including the Clearwater Bar Association, CASA, EmpowHERment, BOYS Court, the I Will Foundation, and the Youth Development Initiative. His dedication to mentoring young people and strengthening the community was evident throughout his presentation.

Members and guests left the luncheon with a greater appreciation for the significance of primary elections and the role each citizen plays in shaping the future of their communities. BPW St. Petersburg-Pinellas thanks Zachariah Wade for sharing his knowledge and inspiring attendees to stay informed, engaged, and committed to making their voices heard at the ballot box.
