11/20 General Meeting: Yvonne Fry of FL Commission on the Status of Women

Yvonne Fry, chair of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, will be our speaker at the next BPW Luncheon on Thursday, November 20. She’ll be discussing the importance of empowering women to financial freedom as well as other subjects relevant to working women.
Yvonne Fry is a community activist and advocate for women’s and children’s issues, chairing the Florida and Hillsborough Commissions on the Status of Women, past chair of the Spring of Tampa Bay’s board of directors, as well as serving on the boards of Frameworks of Tampa Bay, the Plant City Chamber of Commerce, the Plant City Board of Adjustment, the Junior League of Tampa Community Advisory Board, 3 PTSAs and a member of the Athena Society. Yvonne was appointed to the Florida Commission on the Status of Women by Attorney General Pam Bondi with the goal of continuing to increase the awareness of women’s issues as well as to develop stronger statewide collaborations to find solutions and partnerships on women’s issues.  She also serves as President of Lines of Communication and as CEO of Fry Entertainment, Inc.  Yvonne has two children and enjoys fishing in Tampa Bay.
